abstract The present invention relates to novel compounds of formula I wherein R1 is hydrogen; R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or acyl; Ar is -COR 3 or -SO 2 R 4 wherein R 3 is alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, heteroaryloxy, alkylamino, arylamino or heteroarylamino; and R4 is optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl; X is nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur or a substituent; W is hydrogen or alkyl, or an alkylene, arylene or heteroarylene bridge between two carbon atoms; or X and W together form a ring; Y is hydrogen, hydroxy or other substituents; and Z are hydrogen, spiro ring or oxo, and their optical isomers, diastereomers, enantiomers, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, or biologically hydrolysable amides, esters or imides thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions containing them.
