titleOfInvention SOFT CAPULOS CONTAINING PALONOSETRON HYDROXYCLORIDE WITH IMPROVED STABILITY AND bioavailability
abstract Soft gelatin capsule for oral administration, comprising: a) a soft gelatin outer shell having an oxygen permeability of less than about 1.0 x 10-3 ml.cm/(cm2.24 hr.atm); teb) a lipophilic liquid internal filling composition comprising: i) more than about 50% by weight of one or more lipophilic ingredients; ii) from about 1 to about 20% by weight of water miscibilized or homogenized in said one or more lipophilic ingredients; iii) from about 0.05 to about 2.0 mg of palonosetron as palonosetron hydrochloride solubilized or dispersed in said water; teiv) a surfactant, said capsule showing pharmacokinetics when taken orally on an empty stomach, which is bioequivalent to a formulation having more than 95% absolute bioavailability, with bioequivalence established with a 90% confidence interval for AUC between 80% and 125%. The patent contains another 26 patent claims.
