titleOfInvention PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATIONS CONTAINING STABILIZED AMORPHIC FORM OF DONEPESIL HYDROCHLORIDE
abstract The present invention relates to stabilized pharmaceutical compositions with an amorphous form comprising 1-benzyl-4 - ((5,6-dimethoxy-1-indanone) -2-yl) methyl-piperidine (donepezil) hydrochloride and to a process for stabilizing this compound. The pharmaceutical composition is prepared in situ by forming donepezil hydrochloride and applying the resulting solution to a mixture of pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The amorphous form of donepezil hydrochloride is stabilized by the addition of a crystallization inhibitor to a solution or mixture of a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
