abstract THE PRESENT INVENTION REFERS TO THE SYNTHESIS OF A NEW SALT OF 1,1-DIMETHYLBIGUANID GLYCINATE, CALLED METFORMIN GLYCINATE DESIGNED FOR THE CONTROL OF GLUCOSE IN BLOOD. THIS SALT EXHIBITS ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER METFORMIN SALTS. THESE ADVANTAGES REFER IN THE FIRST PLACE, TO THE FACT THAT THE CONTRAION EXHIBITS HYPOGLUCENT EFFECTS BY ITSELF, THE HYPOGLUCENT EFFECT IS MORE PRONOUNCED. IN ADDITION, THIS SALT EXHIBITS A BETTER ABSORPTION, REACHING A HIGHER PLASMA CONCENTRATION THAN THAT PRODUCED WITH MEPHROMINE HYDROCHLORIDE. THE SYNTHESIS WAS CARRIED OUT FROM METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE RELEASING THE HYDROCHLORIDE CONTRAION, USING AN ION EXCHANGE COLUMN, THE RELEASED METFORMIN WAS DISSOLVED IN AQUEOUS MEDIUM AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE PRODUCT IS ADDITIONAL AND THE RESULTING ADDITIONAL TEMPERED GLYTICINE AND AGUULTANT AMPERCENT A CONCENTRATED SOLUTION OF THE PRODUCT, AN ORGANIC SOLVENT IS ADDED TO CREATE INSOLUBILITY AND PROMOTE CRYSTALLIZATION IN SATURATED MEDIUM, THE EXCESS OF GLYCINE PRECIPITATES AND THE SALT METFORMIN GLYCINATE IS OBTAINED AFTER FILTERING AND CONCENTRATING SAID. THE GLYCINATE SALT OF METFORMIN HAS A MORE PRONOUNCED OPHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECT IN THE REDUCTION OF GLUCOSE LEVELS IN THE BLOOD.
