abstract This invention relates to a method of refining vegetable oil, in particular cotton oil or a mixture thereof, in which a series of steps are provided for the processing of the above crude oil, including removal of insoluble particles from this oil, removal of soluble free particulate oils, from this, drying, discolouring and filtering it as well as removing stearins and deodorizing. Also, this invention relates to an additive inorganic base containing ether, ketone, toluene, hexane, terephthalate, alcohols in certain proportions and which is added to the refined oil as prepared according to the above method. Finally, this refined oil is used as an appropriate substitute for diesel oil at least partially.
