titleOfInvention Improvements in or relating to hydrazonium salts
abstract The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:0996250/C2/1> wherein A is a halogen, and their preparation by (a) reacting an alkali metal salt of hexahydrobenzilic acid with a compound of formula <FORM:0996250/C2/2> or (b) reacting a compound of formula <FORM:0996250/C2/3> with 1,1-dimethylhydrazine. 2 - Bromoethyl hexahydrobenzilate is prepared by reaction of hexahydrobenzilic acid with ethylene dibromide. 1 - (2 - Bromoethyl) - 1,1 - dimethylhydrazonium bromide is prepared by reaction of 1,1-dimethylhydrazine with ethylene dibromide. The compounds of the invention have anti-cholinergic and spasmolytic activity and are water-soluble and suitable for the preparation of medicine forms.
