titleOfInvention | Dicyclohexylamine salts of complex metal compounds of azo-dyestuffs of the pyrazolone series, their manufacture and use |
abstract | The invention comprises a dicyclohexylamine salt of a 1 : 2-complex metal compound of a water-insoluble azo-dyestuff of the general formula <FORM:0994979/C4-C5/1> in which each X represents a hydroxyl group, A represents a radical of the benzene series and B represents the radical derived from a 1-phenyl-3-methyl-pyrazolone in which the phenyl group may be substituted, each of the hydroxyl groups represented by X being attached to a carbon atom which is adjacent to a carbon atom attached to the azo group. The complexes are produced by reacting dicyclohexylamine with a 1:2-complex metal compound of an azo dye as defined above. In addition to the SO2-CH=CH2 group the azo may further substituents, e.g. halogen atoms, alkyl, alkoxy or nitro groups. In an example 2 - amino - 1 - hydroxybenzene - 4 - (b - hydroxyethyl sulphone) is dissolved in sulphuric acid, the solution is poured into ice, neutralized and diazotized and coupled with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone. The dye obtained is reacted with chrome alum and the metal complex obtained is reacted with dicyclohexylamine. Additional examples are furnished and starting materials listed. The dyes are soluble in organic solvents and suitable for colouring lacquers. |
