titleOfInvention Stabilised self-emulsifying solutions of alkyl polysiloxanes containing hydrogen linked with silicon
abstract Solutions which form emulsions when poured into water and comprise alkyl-hydrogen siloxanes and emulsifiers selected from fatty acid esters of polyvalent hydroxyl compounds and acylamide alkyl sulphates, in lower alcohols or acetone, are characterized by the addition thereto of a primary monobasic aminocarboxylic acid, hexamethylene tetramine, potassium biphthalate or sodium citrate, in an amount between 10- 5% by weight of the solution and the saturation concentration. The preferred additive is glycocoll. In examples glycocoll is added to a solution of a methylhydrogensiloxane oil and (1) the hexaoleate of a polyethoxylated sorbitol in isopropyl alcohol; and (2) mono-(b -stearoylamidethyl) sulphate in acetone. Specification 915,787 is referred to.
