titleOfInvention Vitamin-a-acid azide and process for preparing it
abstract The invention comprises vitamin-A-acid azide, which may be prepared by reacting vitamin-A-acid with a chloroformic acid alkyl ester in the presence of a base and then reacting the product with an alkali metal azide. The reaction is carried out at -20 DEG C. to +10 DEG C. in an inert solvent. In an example vitamin-A-acid is reacted with chloroformic acid ethyl ester in a mixture of acetone and water containing triethylamine, and then with sodium azide.
