abstract The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:0975354/C1/1> where R, R1 and R11 are C1-4 alkyl and X and Y are alkoxy, amino, alkylamino or dialkylamino. They may be prepared by reacting a phenol of formula <FORM:0975354/C1/2> with a phosphorus halide HalP(O)XY in the presence of acid binding agents or using the phenol in the form of an alkali metal salt. Alternatively a compound of formula <FORM:0975354/C1/3> is reacted with an alcohol, ammonia or an amine or first with one and then with another of these. An inert solvent is generally used. The products are pesticides (see Division A5).ALSO:Pesticidal compositions comprise an organophosphorus compound of formula <FORM:0975354/A5-A6/1> where R, R1 and R11 are C1-4 alkyl, and X and Y are alkoxy, amino, alkylamino or dialkylamino, together with a solid or liquid carrier. Other insecticides and/or fertilizers may be present. Specified forms are solutions and emulsions.
