titleOfInvention | Method for producing l-amino acids |
abstract | The amino acids L-tryptophane, L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-phenylalamine and L-threanine are prepared from the corresponding D, L or DL-alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acids of the formula: <FORM:0972002/C1/1> wherein R is respectively <FORM:0972002/C1/2> <FORM:0972002/C1/3> <FORM:0972002/C1/4> or a salt thereof, by fermentation in a nutrient medium with a microorganism which is capable, when fermented, of converting said alphahydroxycarboxylic acid into the corresponding alpha-aminocarboxylic acid. Specified microorganisms are Pseudomonas aeroginosa, dacunhae, xanthe, cruciviae and denitrificans, Flavobacterium aerogenes, and citri, Micrococcuspilotonensis, rubens and varians, Serratia marcesens, Bacillus cereus, circulans, megatherium, pumilus, sphaericus and subtilis, Escherichia coli, Brevibacterium fulvum, Corynebacterium equi, Vibrio metshnikovii and tyrogenes, Sartina butea, Aeromanas liquefaciens, Achromobacter butiri, Aerobacter aerogenes, and Torulautilis and spora. Specification 970,203 is referred to. |
