[Also in Division D1] Non-woven fibrous products (see Division D1) are laminated with paper, textile fabrics, leather, or metal foils, e.g. aluminium, on one or both surfaces. The fibrous products comprise natural or synthetic fibres bound by a composition comprising N-methylolacrylamide and/or N-methylolmethacrylamide and at least one ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid with a C 1 -C 4 alkanol, with or without one or more monomers having a group coreactive with the N-methylol group. Many examples of the binder are given, and the binder may include thermosetting resin condensates, e.g. an aminoplast or a polyepoxide. Specification 962,459 is referred to. |
