titleOfInvention New dyestuffs of the anthraquinone series and their manufacture and use
abstract The invention comprises dyes of the formula <FORM:0957090/C3/1> in which m, n and p are each a whole number up to six, <FORM:0957090/C3/2> is an aminobenzene sulphonic or carboxylic acid residue, X is the residue of a saturated primary or secondary amine bound through its nitrogen atom and having a hydro-aromatic ring, a branched alkyl chain or an aliphatic chain containing a hydroxyl or alkoxy group and Y is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl. The dyes are made by condensing in any order, a tri-halogen triazine with a dye of the formula <FORM:0957090/C3/3> where m, p and Y are as above, an aminobenzene sulphonic or carboxylic acid and a amine XH where X has the value above. The dyes dye and print leather, silk, wool, polyamides and polyurethanes in blue shades.
