Cosmetic compositions for application to the skin, e.g. a cleansing or nutritive cream comprise fatty or waxy substances of the type commonly used therein and, in addition to the other conventional ingredients, "sucroglycerides," i.e. products obtainable by the transesterification of sucrose with a natural triglyceride or with a lower alkyl ester of a 'C6-30 fatty acid or mixtures thereof.
