| abstract | In the dyeing of wool with the monoazo mordant dyestuff C.I.14645 (Colour Index, second edition, 1956), the dyeing time is materially shortened by the addition of sulphamic acid to the dyebath. The sulphamic acid and the dyestuff are added to the dyebath, if desired, together with sodium sulphate. The dyebath is acidified with acetic acid, raised to the boil and the colour developed by the addition of sodium dichromate mordant. |
