titleOfInvention | Improved electrolytic developer solution |
abstract | 927,793. Photographic processes. MINNESOTA MINING & MANUFACTURING CO. Sept. 15, 1959 [Oct. 17, 1958], No. 31441/59. Class 98 (2). [Also in Group XXXVI] An exposed photoconductive layer on a conducting backing is developed electrolytically with a solution comprising a complex of a thiourea and a silver salt, the mol. ratio of silver salt to thiourea being 1: 3. The silver salt may be silver nitrate. Acetamide may be present in the solution. The solvent is preferably water, but glycerine and formamide may be used. The exposed photoconductive layer may be drawn across the surface of a sponge which is partly submerged in the developer solution contained in a metal reservoir, the reservoir and conductive backing of the photoconductive layer being connected to the poles of a battery. Specification 864,474 is referred to. |
