titleOfInvention Dithiophosphoric acid esters
abstract The invention comprises thiophosphoric acid esters of the general formula:- <FORM:0916704/IV (b)/1> in which R1 and R2 are C1-C4 alkyl radicals, R3 is a mono- or di- C1-C4 alkylamino group, a cyano group, a phenyl or chlorophenyl group, an aminocarbonyl or a mono- or di-C1-C4 alkylaminocarbonyl group or another <FORM:0916704/IV (b)/2> and wherein the alkylene radical contains up to 4 C atoms and may be interrupted by a hetero atom. They may be obtained by reacting appropriate O.S-dialkyl-dithiolphosphoric acid salts with appropriately substituted alkyl halides, e.g. BrCH2CN, BrCH2Br, ClCH2-C6H4p.Cl., ClCH2-2,4-dichlorophenyl, ClCH2\t CH2CN, ClCH(CH3)CONH2, BrCH2OCH2Br, ClCH2SCH2Cl, BrCH2CONHCH3, ClCH2CH2N (C2H5)2 and ClCH2CH2CON(CH3)2. Examples are given and the products have insecticidal properties (see Group VI). The O.S-dialkyldithiolphosphoric acid salts may be obtained by reacting O.O.S-trialkylthionophosphoric acids esters with appropriate alkali metal mercaptides. Specification 806,148 is referred to.ALSO:An insecticidal composition contains a solid or liquid diluent or carrier and as active ingredient a dithiophosphoric acid ester of the formula <FORM:0916704/VI/1> in which R1 and R2 are C1-C4 alkyl radicals, R3 is a C1-C4 alkyl (or dialkyl) amino group, a cyano, phenyl, or chlorophenyl group, an aminocarbonyl or C1-C4 alkyl (or dialkyl) aminocarbonyl group, or another <FORM:0916704/VI/2> group, and wherein the alkylene radical contains up to 4 carbon atoms and may be interrupted by a hetero atom (see Group IV(b)). Specified carriers or diluents are talc, chalk, bentonite, clay, water (if desired with an emulsifier), alcohols, ketones and liquid hydrocarbons. Known insecticides and/or fertilisers may also be present. Specification 806,148 is referred to.
