| abstract | The invention comprises triazines of the formula <FORM:0899404/IV (b)/1> and their acid addition salts wherein Ar is a 2,6-dimethylphenyl, 2-ethylphenyl or 2-butylphenyl group and R1 and R2 are each an alkyl group having from one to four carbon atoms or R1 and R2 together form a tetramethylene or pentamethylene chain and the preparation thereof by condensing an aniline ArNH2, a ketone R1COR2 and dicyandiamide in the presence of an acid. Anthelmintic compositions comprise compounds of the invention together with a suitable carrier therefor. Examples are given of tablets, chewing wafers, a syrup and an elixir.
