abstract An injectable pharmaceutical preparation in unit dosage form stated to act prophylactically and curatively against a variety of pathological conditions, e.g. infection with pathogenic organisms, asthma, allergic conditions and exposure to harmful radiation, comprises a sterile colloidal solution in a physiologically innocuous aqueous medium of an iron-dextrin complex in an amount per unit dose corresponding to 0.2 to 10 mg. of iron and an iron concentration of 0.05 to 15 mg/litre.
