titleOfInvention Thiophosphoric esters of tertiary acetylenic alcohols
abstract The invention comprises thiophosphoric esters of formula <FORM:0894759/IV (b)/1> where R is ethyl, R1 is hydrogen or phenyl, R11 is methyl or ethyl and X is oxygen or sulphur. They may be prepared by the following scheme <FORM:0894759/IV (b)/2> where M is, for example Na or K, Starting materials prepared in examples are the chloroacetates and a-bromo-a-phenylacetates of 3 - methylbutyne - 1 - ol - 3 and of - 3 methyl - pentyne-1-ol-3 from the acetylenic alcohols and the acid chlorides in the presence of pyridine at 0 DEG C. Specification 791,842 is referred to. ALSO: Pesticidal compositions comprise a thiophosphoric ester of formula <FORM:0894759/VI/1> where R is ethyl, R1 is hydrogen or phenyl, R11 is methyl or ethyl and X is oxygen or sulphur, together with a carrier.
