titleOfInvention | Dielectric materials and methods for their manufacture |
abstract | A dielectric in the form of plates, pellets or tubes consists of a compressed mixture of ferric oxide and 0,05 to 21% of tin oxide powder, which has been heated at a temperature of 1,100 DEG C. to 1,400 DEG C. in an atmosphere of nitrogen containing 0,5 and 15% oxygen, for about four hours, and thereafter cooled in pure nitrogen. Before the mixture is compressed it may be pre-sintered for about four hours at a temperature between 700 DEG C. and 950 DEG C. either in air or in a mixture of nitrogen and between 0,5 and 15% oxygen. |
