abstract | The compositions of the parent Specification for the detection of blood sugar, which compositions comprise glucose oxidase, peroxidase and a compound which undergoes a colour reaction in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, are modified to detect the presence of glucose above a predetermined amount in a fluid by adding substances which are reactable with hydrogen peroxide, e.g. hydroquinone, cysteine dihydroxymaleic acid or ascorbic acid. |
