titleOfInvention Substituted dihydrobenzothiadiazines
abstract The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:0877552/IV (b)/1> (wherein R1 is halogen, trifluoromethyl, nitro, C1-C7 alkyl or C1-C7 alkoxy, n is 0 or 1 and R2 is C3-C7 cycloalkyl, cyclopentenyl, cyclohexenyl or cycloheptenyl) and alkali metal salts thereof, and the preparation thereof by treating a compound of the formula <FORM:0877552/IV (b)/2> with an aldehyde of the formula R2(lower alkylene)nCHO and, if desired, converting the products into their alkali metal salts. The products are saliuretics and diuretics. 1-Trifluoromethyl - 5 - amino-2,4-benzenedisulphonyl chloride is prepared by reacting m-amino-benzotrifluoride with chlorosulphonic acid. 5 - Substituted-2,4-disulphamyl-anilines are prepared by treating the corresponding disulphonyl chlorides with ammonia.
