abstract | 6a - Methyl- 11b ,21- dihydroxy- 4,17(20)-pregnadien-3-one is obtained from the 3-enamine thereof in a process wherein the 3-pyrrolidyl enamine of 6a -methyl-11b ,21-dihydroxy-4,17(20)-pregnadien-3-one is hydrolysed under alkaline conditions, the 3-enamine being converted to an acid addition salt thereof prior to the alkaline hydrolysis. As acid addition salts are mentioned the hydrochloride, hydrobromide, sulphate, phosphate, nitrate, acetate, formate, propionate, butyrate, chloroacetate, benzoate, trichlorobenzoate and trifluoroacetate. |
