titleOfInvention Plant growth stimulating aerosol compositions
abstract A plant growth stimulant aerosol spray composition comprises about 80% aerosol propellant and about 20% of an anhydrous organic solvent solution containing, based on the overall weight of the compositions, 30 to 50 ppm of a plant growth stimulant selected from the group consisting of gibberellic acid and its water-soluble salts and esters, about 0,5 to 2% of a nonphytotoxic nonionic surface-active agent. A light, non-phytoxic mineral oil, in an amount of about 0,3 to 0,4% may also be present. Specified propellants are trichloromonofluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane dichlorotetrafluoroethane. Specified organic solvents are acetone, absolute ethanol, isopropanol and methylene chloride. Specified surface active agents are polyoxyethylene sorbitan monolaurate, polyglyceryl oleate and polyethylene glycol. The mineral oil is preferably a low viscosity isoparaffinic oil having an unsulphonated residue of at least 90%.
