titleOfInvention | Di-isopropylammonium salts of chloroacetic and chloropropionic acids |
abstract | The invention comprises diisopropyl-ammonium salts of acetic and propionic acids which have been substituted by one, two or three chlorine atoms, the alpha-carbon atom of the acid being substituted by at most two chlorine atoms, and the preparation thereof by reacting equimolecular proportions of di-isopropylamine with the appropriate acid.ALSO:Pharmaceutical compositions suitable for parenteral or enteral administration contain a di-isopropyl-ammonium salts of acetic or propionic acid containing one, two or three chlorine atoms, the alpha carbon of which contains at most two chlorine atoms. For example, 25-50 mgm. of the salt may be dissolved in 2 c.c. of sterile water for parenteral administration or included in a tablet of 260 mgm. weight for oral administration. |
