titleOfInvention | Improvements in the recovery of antihaemophilic factor from blood |
abstract | In separating antihaemophilic factors from blood, plasma is separated from blood which has been taken into an anticoagulant solution and cooled at least to 4 DEG C. within a short time of the blood being taken; the plasma is then diluted with a substantially equal volume of sterile distilled water, is cooled to about 0 DEG C., treated with ether to precipitate a concentrate which is washed with an anticoagulant solution containing ether and then with sterile distilled water, each at about 0 DEG C., is then taken up in an anti-coagulant solution at room temperature and finally freeze dried. Specification 603,998 is referred to. |
