titleOfInvention Process for the printing of textile fibre material made of aromatic polyester fibres or cellulose triacetate fibres
abstract In the printing of aromatic polyester and cellulose triacetate textiles with dispersion dyestuffs, the paste contains, in addition to the dispersed dyestuff, one or more polyhydric alcohols or one or more esters or ethers thereof and, after dyeing, the printed textile is heated to 140-220 DEG C. Specified polyhydric alcohols include glycol, glycerol, 1:3- and 1:4-butanediol, 2 - ethylhexanediol, 1:3:5 - hexanetriol, pentaerythrite, sorbitol and sorbitan. Specified ethers are diglycol, triglycol, tetraglycol, pentaglycol, the methyl, ethyl, butyl, dodecyl and octadecyl ethers of glycol, tri-, tetra- or pentaglycol, and polyhydroxy-propylene oxethylated with ethylene oxide. Mono-, di- and triethanolamine and also phenols may be employed as etherifying radicals. Ethers containing free hydroxyl groups may be esterified. Esters sulphuric, boric, orthophosphoric or pyrophosphoric acid, of condensed polyphosphates still capable of esterification obtained according to Specification 706,410, and of lauric, palmitic, oleic, stearic, benzoic, salicylic, phthalic and phenoxyacetic acid may be employed. Specified esters include glycol carbonate, glycol sulphite, glycol chlorhydrin, benzoic acid diglycol ester and tetraglycol ester, stearic acid glycol ester, lauric acid diglycol ester, salicylic acid tetraglycol ester, phthalic acid diglycol ester, dodecyl diglycol sulphuric acid ester and the orthophosphoric acid esters of ethylene oxide condensation products with dodecyl, octadecyl, palmityl, myristyl, oleyl and stearyl alcohols. Carriers, e.g., salicylic acid, o- and p-phenylphenol, monochlorobenzene, chloronaphthalene and methyl-, phenyl- or benzylbenzoates, may be added to the paste, as also may other auxiliaries such as acetophenone, benzaldehyde, salicylaldehyde, benzoic acid, methylbenzyl aniline, chloraniline, b -naphthylamine and b -naphthol. Numerous examples are given.
