abstract 783,381. Voltage-sensitive resistor. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Oct. 3, 1955 [Oct. 5, 1954], No. 28113/55. Class 37. [Also in Group XL (c)] A frequency discriminator (see Group XL (c)) includes a pair of non-linear impedances which are connected in series and are constructed from a single wafer 46 of silicon carbide which is coated on each side with a thin layer of metal. One coating 48 is left intact and has a lead connected to it as by soldering, and the coating on the other side is separated into two parts 50, 52, by cutting away the coating at 54, leads being connected to the parts 50, 52.
