[Also in Group VIII] A bow tie, Fig. 2, is made by folding tubular knitted fabric, Fig. 1, and constricting the centre by a separate band 17. The fabric comprises fancy portions 10, 11, plain portions 13, 14 and narrowed plain portions 12, 15, 16. The tie may be secured to a neck-band 18, clip or pin. A bow-tie with double wings is made similarly from a blank having four fancy portions, two plain portions and five narrowed portions. |
