Improving the dye affinity of polyglycol terephthalates |
abstract |
The dye affinity of polyester obtainable from terephthalic acid and glycols of formula HO(CH2)nOH, where n=10 is improved by melt blending them with polyesters obtainable from isophthalic acid and a glycol. In examples, polyethylene terephthalate is melt blended with (1) polyethylene isophthalate; (2) polydiethylene glycol isophthalate. |
