titleOfInvention | Improvements in or relating to sliding clasp fasteners and methods for attaching the same to articles of clothing |
abstract | 768,900. Sliding clasp fasteners. RI-RI WERKE AKT.-GES. April 7, 1955 [April 9, 1954], No. 10267/55. Class 44. Relates to sliding clasp fasteners having separable end stop members 23, the ends of the stringers being reinforced on both sides by means of metallic elements 14 supporting the end stop members. According to the invention, the reinforcement elements 14 are provided with equally spaced opposite slots 16 extending transversely of the stringers to permit machine stitches 17 connecting the stringers to a fabric to be continued into the zone of the reinforcement elements. As shown, the elements 14 are U-shaped and are provided with additional slots 18 which are engaged by teeth on the end stop members 23. |
