titleOfInvention Production of concentrated stable solutions of dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone
abstract Stable aqueous solutions are produced by a process in which dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone and phenyldimethylpyrazolone are dissolved in water to form an aqueous solution containing at least 5 gm. dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone per 100 cc., the solution is filled into ampoules, and the ampoules are heated. The step of heating the solution in the ampoules stabilizes the solutions against crystallization. Preferably 0.8 to 1.2 parts by weight of phenyldimethylpyrazolone are employed to 1 part by weight of dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone. In examples of the process solutions are prepared (a) containing 15 parts by weight of each pyrazolone derivative made up to 100 parts by volume with water; (b) containing 20 parts of dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone, and 24 parts of phenyldimethylpyrazolone dissolved in 100 parts of water. Other medicaments, e.g codeine salts, calcium salts or p-aminobenzoyldiethylaminoethanol or its hydrochloride, can be added to the solutions. Specification 9916/40 (as open to inspection under Sect. 91) is referred to.ALSO:Stable aqueous solutions are produced by a process in which dimethylaminophenyl-dimethylpyrazolone and phenyldimethylpyrazolone are dissolved in water to form aqueous solutions containing at least 5 gm dimethylaminophenyldimethylpyrazolone per 100 ccs., the solution is filled into ampules, and the ampules are heated.
