titleOfInvention | Improvements relating to anti-perspirant preparations |
abstract | An anti-perspirant preparation comprises an aqueous-alcoholic solution of aluminium sulphamate, the alcohol being a saturated aliphatic monohydric alcohol. Alcohols specified are ethyl, n- and isopropyl alcohol. Discoloration inhibitors may be present. Those specified are: urea, ethyl carbamate, formamide, acetamide, glycine, a-alanine, b -alanine, diammonium malonate, ammonium acetate, diammonium oxalate, monoethanolamine acetate, tri-ethanolamine acetate, sodium 2-mercapto propane-1-sulphonate, sodium and ammonium 2-mercaptoethane-1-sulphonate, ammonium thioglycolate, thioglycolic acid, thiourea and ethylene thiourea. Surface active agents specified are: sodium mono-sulphate monoglyceride of coconut acids, sodium lauryl sulphate, sodium dodecyl benzene sulphonate and sodium octyl phenyl ether of diethyl ether sulphonate. Germicides may also be present, for example N-(myristic acid ester of colamino-formyl-methyl) pyridinium chloride. Other substances which may be present include essential oils, glycerine, propylene glycol, and sorbitol. The preparation may be contained in an aerosol type dispenser in combination with a propellant, for example methyl chloride, dichloro-difluoro-methane, monochloro-difluoroethane, and dichloro-tetrafluoroethane. |
