titleOfInvention Improved manufacture of aqueous dispersions and jellies of steroidic and terpenic esters
abstract Halogenbetainilic esters of steroidic or terpinic alcohols are made by the two following steps: (1) an absolute ethereal solution of the alcohol is treated with equimolecular quantities of a halide of a halogen acetic acid and pyridine; and (2) the product obtained in absolute ethereal solution or in other inactive solvent and at a temperature of -5 DEG C. is treated with a tertiary aliphatic amine, such as trimethylamine. The product is dispersed in water to form a solution or jelly for use as medicine. The alcohols specified are cholesterine, testosterone, folliculine, dehydrofolliculine, corticosterone, desoxycorticosterone, vitamin D, ergosterine, Vitamin A or mixtures thereof.ALSO:Halogenbetainilic esters of steroidic or terpinic alcohols are made by the two following steps: - (1) an absolute ethereal solution of the alcohol is treated with equimolecular quantities of a halide of a halogen acetic acid and pyridine and (2) the product obtained in absolute ethereal solution or in other inactive solvent and at a temperature of 5 DEG C is treated with a tertiary aliphatic amine, such as trimethylamine.
