titleOfInvention | Improvements in and relating to derivatives of iminodibenzyl |
abstract | The invention comprises N-(imidazolinyl-2-methyl) iminodibenzyl and salts thereof with inorganic and organic acids, obtainable by the action of reactive esters of 2-hydroxy-methylimidazoline on iminodibenzyl, preferably with inert solvents and acid-binding agents, and conversion into salts. In an example, iminodibenzyl reacts with 2-chloromethylimidazoline hydrochloride, to give the hydrochloride of N-(imidazolinyl-2-methyl)-iminodibenzyl. Other reactive esters which may be used include the alkyl and aryl sulphonic acids. Salts of the product mentioned include its salts with hydrobromic, sulphuric, phosphoric, ethane disulphonic and acetic acid, some of which are water-soluble. |
