titleOfInvention Coloration of textile fibers with nitroketoarylamines
abstract Textile fibres of organic derivatives of cellulose or of nylon are dyed by means of an aqueous dispersion of a compound having the formula <FORM:0696989/IV (c)/1> wherein R is an alkyl group of 1 to 5 carbon atoms and X is a cyclic radical, either aromatic or heterocyclic, having a basic nitrogen joined by the single valence bond to the benzene ring, said compounds containing no water-solubilizing salt-forming substituents. The invention comprises also the dyestuffs of the general formula <FORM:0696989/IV (c)/2> wherein R is an alkyl group of 1 to 5 carbon atoms and Y is a member of the group consisting of aliphatic ether and aliphatic-substituted amino radicals containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, said dyestuffs containing no water-solubilizing salt-forming group. Examples are given of dyestuffs of this formula obtained by condensing 3 - nitro - 4 - chloroacetophenone with (1) p - anisidine, p - phenetidine; (3) p - (2 - hydroxy - ethoxy) - aniline; (4) N,N - diethyl - p - phenylenediamine; and (5) N - acetyl - p - phenylenediamine, and the dyeing of cellulose acetate and nylon fibres with aqueous dispersions of 2-nitro-4-acetyl-diphenylamine and of the five new dyestuffs obtained as above. The dyestuffs are dispersed by means of N,N-oleylmethyltaurine sodium salt. Other new dyestuffs of the formula given above are obtained by condensing 3-nitro-4-chloroacetophenone with p-aminophenyl-trimethyl silane, cyclohexylamine, 2 - methylcyclohexylamine, morpholine, 3,4,5 - trimethoxyaniline or 2,6 - dimethoxyaniline; and instead of 3-nitro-4-chloroacetophenone the corresponding propiophenone, valerophenone or caprophenone may be used. Other dyestuffs which may be used for dyeing the cellulose acetate or nylon are those obtainable by condensing 3-nitro-4-chloroacetophenone with p - toluidine, m - xylidine, N,N - bis - (2 - hydroxyethyl) - p - phenylenediamine, methyl p - aminobenzoate, N - (21 - hydroxyethyl) - aniline, aminobi - phenyl, aminodiphenyl methanes, 1 - (p - aminophenyl) - 3 - methylpyrazolone - 5, p - (N1 - morpholino) - aniline, a - and b - naphthylamines, aminomethylpyrazole, aminopyrrole, 3 - aminopyrazolone - 5, 2 -, 3 - and 4 - amino - quinoline, 2 - aminothiazole, a - aminothio - phene and piperidine.
