titleOfInvention | Phosphorylated aneurin derivatives |
abstract | Phosphoric acid esters of aneurin are prepared by heating aneurin orthophosphate with pyrophosphoric acid at 80 DEG to 150 DEG C. Cocarboxylase may then be recovered from the mixture of phosphoric acid esters so obtained. Preferably 3 to 10 mols. of pyrophosphoric acid are used for each mol. of aneurin phosphate, and the reaction is carried out in a boiling liquid diluent. In an example, aneurin orthophosphate hydrochloride is heated with commercial pyrophosphoric acid in boiling petroleum ether to give a product having about 25 per cent of the coenzymatic activity of cocarboxylase chloride, which may be isolated from it. Specification 687,674 is referred to. |
