abstract | The invention comprises a mono-tertiary-aminoalkyl ether of a flavonol glucidic compound, particularly the mono-b -diethylaminoethyl ether of rutin and the mono-b -morpholino-ethyl ether of rutin; and also the preparation of such compounds by the reaction of rutin with a tertiary-aminoalkyl halide or a hydrochloride thereof in an aqueous alkaline medium. The salts of the above compounds, e.g. the hydrochlorides, phosphates and benzoates may be prepared by interaction of the acid and the ether in water or alcohol or by double decomposition between the hydrochloride of the ether and a salt of the selected acid. Examples are given of the preparation of the two compounds specifically mentioned above. |
