titleOfInvention | Stabilized chlorinated paraffins |
abstract | Non-polymerizable chlorinated paraffins of between about 10 and 40 carbon atoms are stabilized by addition of up to 5 per cent weight of a tin hydrocarbon compound of formula RxAr4-xSn, where R is alkyl, Ar is aryl, and x is 1, 2 or 3. The tin compound is preferably dibutyldiphenyl or tributylphenyl tin, and examples are given of the use of these compounds with a chlorinated paraffin containing 70 per cent chlorine. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises the statement that x in the above formula may be 4, and refers to tetrabutyl tin in particular. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
