titleOfInvention Improvements in and relating to insecticidal preparations
abstract An insecticidal preparation comprises a watersoluble mixture of a polyphosphate ester, e.g. hexaethyltetraphosphate and tetraethylpyrophosphate, with an anhydrous wetting agent miscible with the polyphosphate. Polyalkylene condensation products e.g. carbowax, emulgor, between and those sold under the R.T.M.'s "Lissapol" and "Lubrol"; quaternary ammonium salts e.g. cetavlon, zephiran and those sold under the R.T.M.'s "Lissolamine" and "Fixanol" are preferred wetting agents when suitably dried. Chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticides e.g. D.D.T., benzene hexachloride, chlorinated camphene and Velsicol C10 H6 Cl8 may be incorporated with or without the addition of a consolvent such as aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, esters e.g. ethyl phosphate, ketones and chlorinated solvents such as monochlorbenzene.
