titleOfInvention | Improvement in methods comprising the attack of organic materials by bases, with subsequent pyrogenation |
abstract | In the attack of plants and vegetable waste with equimolecular proportions of an alkalineearth base and an alkali carbonate in presence of water, with subsequent pyrolysis, the solid residue of the pyrolysis is calcined at a temperature high enough to decompose the alkaline earth carbonate, a mixture of alkaline earth base and alkali carbonate being thus regenerated, which may be re-utilized directly, at least in part, for a fresh attack of organic materials. Examples describe the operation, using lime and sodium carbonate. The products of the pyrolysis are oils containing ketones. |
