[Class 140] A surgical bandage &c. is formed from a stretchable film of polymerized vinyl acetate, with a single plasticizer or mixed plasticizers which is coated with an adhesive, e.g. rubber and resin with or without zinc oxide or other fillers and with or without softeners applied as a solution, e.g. in petroleum spirit. Vinyl acetate 100 parts with 30 parts of diethyl phthalate by weight may be used but methyl glycol phthalate alone or mixed with another plasticizer may be used in lieu of the diethyl phthalate. |
