[Class 2 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXV] A former for an inductance or transformer coil has a superficial layer formed of laminations of acetylated paper or other fibrous material impregnated with a synthetic resin. The paper may be impregnated with monostyrene which is then polymerized and it may then be coated with a lacquer containing polystyrene. The impregnant may also include a plasticizer, e.g. 8 per cent. ethyl oleate and 2 per cent. 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydronaphthalene. Specifications 545,707, [Group XXXV], 549,043, [Group XXXVI], and 552,433 are referred to.
