[Class 39 (i)] Luminescent material for use in mercury vapour discharge lamps consists of or comprises a luminescent tungstate containing vanadium, in proportions of less than 1 per cent. Magnesium tungstate may be prepared from sodium tungstate and magnesium chloride or from magnesium and tungstic oxides ; the prepared tungstate is mixed with a solution of vanadyl chloride and the mixture is dried, heated and ground &c. |
