[Class 98 (ii)] A gelatino silver halide emulsion suitable for making direct positives contains a non-acid optical sensitizing dye in an amount approximately 1ยข to 4 times that necessary to give the optimum sensitizing for making normal negatives and a soluble azide. Sodium azide may be used instead of, or in addition to, the photographic developing agents described in the parent Specification. Other alkali metal azides or ammonium azide may also be used. |
