[Class 112] Relates to the manufacture of lace, embroidery &c. from threads which are insoluble in water. The threads are embroidered on a support which is soluble in water and is afterwards removed in solution. Supports may be of gelatine, methyl or ethyl cellulose, tragacanth or protein substances, polyvinyl compounds, polyacrylic acid &c. brought into the form of a film or fabric. During the removal process, the support material may act as a size or dressing for the residual material.
