abstract | 522,173. Cement - rubber compositions. CORMAC, P. P. B., and RUBBER CEMENT PRODUCTS, Ltd. Dec. 2, 1938, No. 35205. [Classes 22 and 70] The setting of cement-rubber compositions of the kind described in Specification 369,561 is delayed by treating the cement so as to convert the free lime into water-insoluble salts. The cement is mixed, prior to its admixture with the rubber dispersion, with a compound which yields an insoluble calcium salt such as ammonium carbonate, carbamate, sulphate or oxalate or sodium alginate. A small proportion of the colloidal proteinous material described in Specification 522,172, may also be added to the cement. |
