titleOfInvention Improvements in catalytic oxidation of unsaturated organic compounds
abstract 508,526. Hydrogen peroxide. RESEARCH CORPORATION. March 7, 1938, No. 7099. Convention date, April 13, 1937. [Class 1 (ii)] [Also in Group IV] A solution of hydrogen peroxide in tertiary butyl alcohol may be obtained by adding the alcohol to aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution, and treating the mixture with anhydrous sodium sulphate to effect separation into layers ; the alcohol layer, containing dissolved hydrogen peroxide, is withdrawn and dried, first with anhydrous sodium sulphate and then with anhydrous calcium sulphate, and may finally be concentrated by vacuum distillation of the alcohol at atmospheric temperature.
