abstract | 508,057. Condensers ; synthetic resin compositions. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., SCOTT, T. R., and NEW, A. A. Dec. 24, 1937, No. 34768/38. Divided out of 508,035. [Class 37] [Also in Group IV] Electric condensers are prepared having as insulator, preferably in tape form, a mixture of a solid polymerized olefine, such as polystyrene, polyisobutylene or polyethylene and finely comminuted inorganic particles having a permittivity greater than 5. Specified materials are mica, marble, Iceland spar, lead chloride, rutile, silver chloride, silver bromide, zircon, cassiterite, pyromorphite, calomel, corundum, cerussite, Rochelle salt, lead oxide, thallium chloride, thallium bromide, copper oxide, sintered aluminium oxide, quartz, fused silica, commercial steatite, ultra steatite or fused titanium dioxide. Examples are given of mixture containing polystyrene, rubber, and ceresin wax with mica, Iceland spar, rutile or lead chloride. Specifications 357,624, and 507,323, [Group IV], are referred to. The Provisional Specification refers in general to the use of the compositions as insulating materials and also contains the subject-matter of Specification 508,035, [Groaup'IV]. It refers also to Specification 490,814, [Group IV].. |
